Wake Me Up When September Ends

So what did Lori do on her end of summer vacation you ask? Let’s see, after a much needed respite from work, Blogging, and from life in general, what if I said she did nothing but stay in bed for 7 days and masturbate in such a way that taught her body to sustain a 35 minute heightened state of orgasm?

Just kidding! I did other things too....Like I spent quality time with Pugsley, l got stung by a bee and had an allergic reaction landing me in the hospital the first day of my vacation. My hand was too swollen to type for 3 days. I did however manage to play Damsel in Distress to a very hunky fireman who rescued me.

In other news, I researched literary agents and started putting together my book synopsis. It’s time to get serious about writing, it’s what I want to do. But in case you missed me while I was gone, don’t worry I’m not going to stop Blogging. I have grown tired of living in a world where the truth is seldom ever spoken. If I have to be the one to say it outloud, I will. Even if everyone has stopped reading and commenting, even if I find a publisher. I understand now that the Blog is an outward expression of the inward journey to understand myself, others, and the world. Without blogging it would be hard too make sense of it all. Plus keeping a journal makes me want to lead an interesting life so I can record an interesting life. In journals, angers flare and cool on the same page. Lies get untwisted and truths are told.

For me, the Blog is like a gym where I flex and build my writing muscles. It’s where I learn what people respond to and how to build thick skin and take criticism. It's as much about clarifying thoughts as it is practicing a craft. I’ve realized what I do best is to take non-fiction and embellish it into fictional Dramaedy tales. That’s all I can tell you for now.

My time off brought me to sitting outside Patisserie cafes with my laptop sipping café latte’s in a very Carrie Bradshaw‘esque fashion with my hair thrown up at the top of my head in a messy bun. And P.S. I masturbated. I overindulged in food and drink, slept a lot, caught up with old friends, spent time at two, count them two different spas, got waxed, renourished, replenished, and I masturbated. In short, I spent the week being gluttonous, regrouping and getting refocused. I ate Junior Mints in bed after I masturbated. Remembering that I hold the key to my own pleasure, to my own success. I bet you want to know more about the hot fireman and the masturbating. But you’ll have to stay tuned for all good things to those who wait.

The most important discovery I made this past week -- you must try eating a Junior Mint after orgasm. But it must be eaten no longer than 2 minutes post climax. Your body still has to be tingly to properly experience the minty sensations that follow. It’s like the icing on the cake. I’m keeping a small box on my nightstand. Fyi.

It’s no coincidence I planned my vacation for the Autumn Equinox, my Favorite time of year. The Festival of Dionysus, Feast of Avilon, Night of the Hunter, the Wine Moon when the 'seeds of dreams and wishes' that were planted many months earlier come to fruition.

In Greek Mythology, the Cornucopia was the horn of the goat that suckled Zeus, which broke off and became filled with fruit. In folklore, it became full of whatever its owner desired.

The ancient Celts believed it was a time of balance between light and dark. When the Sun passes our equator it is a time to prepare for the descent into the darkness. I’m all about the descent into darkness. We go into the darkness to gather strength and wisdom. We gather with friends and loved ones to renew our reserves. We feast on the gifts of the harvest. We know that sometimes there is sorrow, sometimes joy. We know that the light will win again, but we must enter into the darkness to get there. I’m not afraid, are you?

Let the Harvest begin.
