I am starting a new word game on my blog because I like to play with words. It keeps the creative juices flowing. Feel free to play along in the comments if you like.

Here's how it works:

Look up an uncommon word on the random word generator and then use that word in a sentence, paragraph, poem, etc.

Today's word is:

astraddle

Function: preposition
A*strad"dle (#), adv. [Pref. a- + straddle.]

Definition: astride: with one leg or part on each side of something

--

His flowing mane blowing a majestic breeze
Cantering effortlessly on a sandy beach
No stirrups to kick or reigns to touch
Her fingers gripped his shoulders in a gentle clutch
Bareback she rode without any saddle
Upon the great white horse, she mounted astraddle.

I decided to try an obscure adjective!!! Now how to figure out how NOT to sound like my first grader with his 3 and 4 word sentences! Cow... I see a cow!!!

I'll come up with something better!
