It's Cookie time!
March 8, 2009

Forget about Spring forward and daylight savings - there is something even more important happening... it's Girl Scout Cookie time!

That's right. Time to support your local Girl Scout troops by purchasing some of their yummy cookies. Just $3.50 a box for a delicious icon of American culture. The cookies are also the backbone of the Girl Scout Cookie Program, the leading entrepreneurial program for girls. Great cookies. Great cause.

And on a total curiosity note, which are your favorite cookies?

I am casting my vote for the Thin Mints that I love the best. I keep them in the refrigerator because they are even better served cold. Add a cold glass of milk and it's like noshing on a little slice of heaven.

Don't forget to order a couple boxes from the scouts in your area.

I like the Samoas/Caramel DeLites best for the sole reason that Keebler Grasshopper cookies ARE Thin Mints. :)

The Thin Mints have always been a favorite, but I LOVE lemon. I have a frined with a daughter in Girl Scouts, so I've bought and eaten my cookies!!!!!

Yours sell for $3.50 a box? They are up to $4 here!!! I only wanted to buy 3 boxes but the smart little girl tried to upsell me to 5 boxes since I had a $20. Damn. I remember when you had to sell door-to-door only and they only cost $2.50.

Mmmmm.. cookies..

I have only ever had the thin mints (so yummy) and the regular chocolate and vanilla. I feel so cheated that there are so many other variations! And I used to sell them myself when I was a kid.

Thin Mints #1, oh yeah!!! I've been eating them since way back, like 7th grade. We used our lunch money to buy them.

Got to say I am a little surprised Samoas are in 2nd place, I thought for sure Tagalongs would be. But then I was never much of a coconut fan...

interesting you have those "thank you" ones. We don't. Last year we had something similar called "all abouts" and they were the same style but smaller...they replaced those this year with the dulce du leche ones. I really liked those basic chocolate covered ones. damn.
