NFL takes Michael Vick back...
August 16, 2009

After being released from federal prison for his horrific crimes against animals, Michael Vick emerges to sign a two-year deal with the Philadelphia Eagles.

I didn't watch his 60 Minutes interview tonight and I don't really care about football. But I do think the NFL lost a big opportunity to take a stand against animal cruelty and to hold to some higher role model standards for boys in the USA.

What do you think?

I think that he should have been stripped naked, sprayed down with sugar water, and then tied to a stake on top of a fire ant mound!

He is out of prison and can go get a job with his college degree. He should not be rewarded with a zillion dollar paycheck, place in the spotlight and to be a role model to kids. I am disappointed with the NFL for reinstating him, and the state of Virginia for letting him plead guilty and basically not punishing him. A sad day for dogs all over.

Neas, I think your punishment is too good for him.

NO NO NO! I have friends who were Philly fans, but are boycotting them due to them signing Vick. I know he's being a *spokesman* for HSUS, but I don't believe it is sincere. Santa Claus will come down the chimney I don't have first!

At the very least, he should be forced to donate half of any future salary from the NFL to the HSUS or other animal charity. But somehow, I doubt this is gonna happen!

I can't forgive Vick for what he did. I don't care if he did his time, I don't believe he's reformed.

Michael Vick is remorseful that he got caught. He is remorseful that he missed two years of fame. But, most of all, he is remorseful that he lost all that money. Does anybody really believe he gives a damn about the dogs that he tortured to death? GMAFB

I am done with NFL football and any company who continues to advertise with them.

I caught snippets of his speech on the sports recap reel last ngiht. LIke 2wildpugs said above, Vick is really only remorsful because he lost out on the money and the fame oh and apparently the time spent with his kids.

I think he should be forced to give a precentage of his pay to animal rights or rescues but doubtful it will happen.
I think the fact that Philly said he is back up and then sighned him for a huge contract is crap.

I am surprised there are even people who voted yes to this one
