Another one for ladies..please stand by for make up recommendations.

After trying numerous lip balms, gels, sticks, glosses, my all time favorite still remains my tried and true Dr. Pepper Lipsmacker for $1.89 at CVS. I've been using the same brand since I was 13 and my addiction to the stuff hasn't waned in the slightest after all this time. I've tried the balm in Coke, Sprite, Root Beer, all other flavors but there is just something about the Dr. Pepper that I love. Makes your lips stay nice and moist, the smell is heavenly and it even leaves the slightest hint of color.

Aside from my iPhone and car keys it's the only thing I will never leave the house without.

Every once in a while Bonne Bell will put out a special edition Dr. Pepper. One year they had supersized tubes that I loved and have never seen again. The special editions happen so infrequently whenever I hit the make-up aisle I always look for it, kind of like finding a secret treasure or opening a really cool stocking stuffer.

So the other day I'm wandering around Rite Aid and there it was...the Dr. Pepper Flavor Collection! A Trio of the balm, squeezy, and liquid form all in the flavor I love.

So excited.

While nothing has really come close to the glory that is the Dr. Pepper, I did recently pick up Loreal's Hip Jelly Balm that I am really loving too. I got one in Delectable (color below) and another in Succulent, which is more of a pink shade. One of them smells like cotton candy and the other like cake batter. Yum.

It's a highly pigmented mostly sheer balm that is similar to the texture of jelly. It moistens the lips nicely, makes them feel super soft and leaves a smooth stain that isn't overly shiny or glossy, that means you can wear it over lipstick or on bare lips. They are a bit pricier at $9.00 a pot, but well worth it.

Of course a girl can never have too many lip products so feel free to share any super awesome lip goodies that you faithfully swear by.

My sister is also all about the Dr.Pepper balm. Sorry girls, I just don't get it! I'm more of a Burt's Bees girl because I don't have to apply it as often!

Oh, Trudy your sister would TOTALLY love it. Any Dr. Pepper girl would.
If you have any Rite Aid pharamacy near you they should have them. $5.99 and will make her favorite stocking stuffer!

I'm going to check around for that trio too. I could put it in Meagan's stocking. She used to really like Dr Pepper. Happy Thanksgiving to you and Miss Plum!

hey, sweet girl, i'm a kiel's lip balm lover. i pencil my entire lip in either mac spice or loreal raisin lipliner, then coat my lips with kiel's. it makes them feel satiny smooth. my buddy, ang, is also a dr. pepper lover, she's a bit older than you, but has also used it since a teenage years.

i'm also a carmex junkie, i must have it at bedtime, in the glass pot, don't want it in the tube. i'm totally addicted to that sting, it's a must have, and have gotten out of bed many, many times to retrieve a pot. just can't sleep without it.

hope you're having a great holiday, lori. give little plum a hug for me! we had a bit of a crisis today, the m&m's, who normally adore each other, got into a snafu over a piece of turkey. oh dear, mama didn't know how to handle the snarling that was coming out of their little yorkie mouths.

needless to say, they got in trouble and the turkey went in the trash.
