bi-partisan bickering
March 23, 2010

Do you know what I find so annoying about the bi-partisan bickering?

It's those arguers who are so stuck in their own viewpoints, because they are supposedly such dedicated Americans, that they don't even respect or tolerate anyone else's opinion that may vary even slightly from their own.

I mean isn't that what being American is all about? Having freedom of choice, freedom of speech, and freedom of thought?

Isn't that the principal on which our nation was founded?

Isn't that what millions of good men and women have died fighting for?

"Our country 'tis of the sweet land of liberty, of thee I sing!"

I may not agree with other people's opinions but I certainly respect that they have a right to them.

Geez.

I think one reason is they all do CYA because they want to get reelected.
They pander to each and every group because even a small group can change an election
I also think they need term limits it is just nuts to let them stay in there for life and grab power.
They need to realize this country is in deep shit and we got to suck it up to survive.
Lori your little poll says it all 81% against the health bill this mirrors what the national polls say. What happened how did this pass? What happened to for the people by the people.
We need to tell them stop the bickering, stop the BS and try to really try to solve the problem.
Tell them do what we want we elected you to do our bidding not what you think we should do.
I also think too many people are complacent. I think I got a right to bitch because I vote in every election.
Well enough of this I got to go spend time with the pugs, it will bring my BP down.

Lori, I love these two quotes and they seem appropriate here.

Greg

I never considered a difference of opinion in politics, in religion, in philosophy, as cause for withdrawing from a friend.
Thomas Jefferson

Ignorance is preferable to error, and he is less remote from the truth who believes nothing than he who believes what is wrong.
